How it all began...
As is our annual custom, we went on a team-building trip with our TMAB employees at the end of June 2018. We planned to leave the day after our last event of the spring, so we chose the Algarve, because David and Tine had been running Villa Arina, a B&B, there since the spring. We could stay with them, and they would book and coordinate all the activities.
Upon arrival, we didn't even have an idea what the Algarve looked like!
Great was our surprise, then, when we discovered the beautiful region: delicious food and even better wine, warm people, rolling landscapes, and a coastline with orange cliffs, orange trees, and sandy beaches. In terms of activities, they took us horseback riding, stand-up paddleboarding, driving around in Twizys, speedboating on the sea in unique lagoons, we did yoga, and enjoyed tons of atmosphere and delicious food at very reasonable prices.
And yes, we were “sold”. Already during these four days, our eyes fell on the fantastic price-quality ratio of the holiday homes, and upon returning home, we asked David to find something for us. In early November, we headed back to the Algarve to visit a selection of 3 holiday homes that appealed to us based on the location, the photos, and, of course, the price.
Our first appointment was viewing a fourth house, which had only recently been put up for sale and of which we hadn't seen any photos yet. It couldn't get any better; Quinta da Carron had to be the one: ideal location, in perfect condition, and beautiful in style! We paid our deposit in December, and everything was signed at the notary on March 1, 2019. Time to order a swimming pool quickly so that there would be refreshment next to the terrace for all holidaymakers by summer!
